¿What do you think about the wizard class?

Is perfect the way it is

Is too powerful, you have to reduce its power

Is too weak, you have to improve his skills

Is too simple, it needs more variety

To play with it you have to combine it with another class

It has too many skills, the rest of the classes are in disadvantage

I just don't like it

Is too complicated

Creating a custom race

Since chaos satire is designed for different stories and settings, it's unavoidable that moment when the available races on the official manual aren't enough to adapt the story that you wish to create, whether because they have some differences or simply because the race doesn't exist.

Attention: if you're going to create your own race only for the characters you are going to play with, you must ask permission to the master (that will usually ask the other player's opinion) plus, after creating your race the mater must authorize the final product (and be warned, because if the master allows it, the rest of the players might also be able to play with the race you created), the same applies if you use the race that another one has already created.

If that moment comes you can use the following instructions:

  1. Decide if the race is for players or masters.
  2. Pick the "race type", ¿it's a humanoid? ¿a living dead? ¿a deity? ¿a new race type?
  3. Describe your race in simple terms, ¿has his own will? ¿it's inmortal? ¿has a specific habitat? describe everything that you think that sets that race apart.
  4. Decide an age range to create a character of that race, normally you should pick a range in which the race is neither too young nor too old.
  5. Decide the race genders (sexs), ¿it reproduces like most of the races (male/female)? ¿it's a deity without gender?
  6. Decide the race's walking speed and the jump capacity, you can use another race as reference (for example, it's twice as fast than a human)
  7. Decide the average height of your race, naturally, just like in real life there can exist beings taller or lower than the average height, but is often because rare exceptions (a disease, for example)
  8. Pick the race's difficulty level, again, you can set it based on another race, this will set the following details for your race:
    1. Initial feature points: difficulty level*3
    2. Initial attribute points: difficulty level*4
    3. Initial skill points: difficulty level-1
  9. Now that you have the initial points you can distribute some of them based on your race, for example, if it's a pretty healthy race you can distribute some points on constitution.
  10. If the race worths it you can give some additional bonuses like defenses, absorptions, advantages and disadvantages.
  11. Some races have their own skills and some don't, if you think your race has some special skill, make sure to decide if the skill is natural or if it must be acquired like the rest of the skills (this is, if the skill must be learned or "comes with the package").

There you go, you have your race, with it you can do the following:

  • If you're a player, you can create your character with that race (always with the master permission).
  • If you're a master, you can create your non-player characters with it and you can offer that race to the players of your table for them to use.
  • You can also send me the race and I will add it to the non-official manual.
