Role playing game

Welcome, this is the role playing game “Chaos satire”; for a long time I have been playing (and I still do) a lot of videogames, role playing games, watching movies, series, anime and reading fantasy story books. During all that time I was thinking on the rules that this game lacks what this one should do, the powers which I would like to play... anyway, so I decided to create my own game.

The main features of Chaos satire are:

  • There are no level limits (I took this decision because it was really frustrating see how, when creating a character it was obvious that I wouldn't be able to play with my character all I wanted to, since there will be a point in which the character will not be able to grow up any more, plus, if at some point I failed with the balance of my character I wouldn't be able to level up a bit and fix it)
  • The system is designed to constantly keep growing up, I mean, even if right now there are X amount of classes and races there is no reason that, in the future can't be added more without damaging it (this not only applies to races and classes, of course), in fact, I am constantly checking and adding more content to the manual.
  • The characters are highly customizable, yes, yes, I know, everybody says that, however I have several proofs:
    1. There are 10 features (strength, dexterity, etc.)
    2. There are 9 attributes (life, mana, etc.)
    3. There are at least 25 types of damage (and most of them behaves totally different)
    4. So far there are at least 15 races (playable by players, there are more for the master)
    5. At least 5 of these races has sub-races and/or evolutions
    6. There are at least 14 classes (wizard, warrior, etc.)
    7. Almost all characters (depending on certain restrictions) can acquire more than one class
    8. When two classes or more are combined the character gets access to new skills that are product of that combination.
    9. There are a great amount of weapons, armors, magical objects and materials they can be made of
    10. Besides some requirements, anyone can carry any object (yes, even if it's uncommon, a wizard could carry a huge mace or wear a heavy armor)
    11. There are another great variety of skills and powers that can be granted to objects
  • Under certain circumstances, a character of some race can transform in (or get powers of) another race

All this makes that the “ultimate” character can't exist, I mean, there isn't the best race or class, all have their weakness and strengths, everyone are handled different (and there is always someone more powerful).

¿Why make such an effort in creating so much variety?, well, the main reason is to give the combats more fun, since normally even if you know of what class or race is a character almost always there is room for unexpected things to happen at the middle of the combat, plus, the game is also designed for some characters that want to play without even have to fight any combat (and in the few that they are involved doesn't have high chances of being defeated).

This is a game, even if it's designed for players imagine themselves in various situations, it's just a game, no matter how interesting is to act like the character during the story of the game, when the role session ends, it ends, beyond the session no one has powers in real life, neither is a dragon or anything alike, no one has the control of any town and it is no good imagine that there is a conspiracy behind the facade that people show us in real life.

Even for many of us this is obvious; there are people that become so involved on their characters and their story that end up believing that that's the reality and not just a game.

Ok, once clarified which is the reality and which is the fiction, have fun playing to be someone else.
